Description
For this project we had to make podcast about certain props, my group got prop 57 but before we made the podcast we did a small project. What we did was read this book called The Absolutely True Diary Of a Part-time Indian and make a podcast on one of the characters this mini project helped us first of get a feel for recording and editing. After we had finished the book and podcast we began to study props that Dr. P assigned us I got prop 66 and 62, once we had plenty of information on both props we began to create a presentation which we would later present to the class. The reason for this was that after all the class presented their props we had to decide what props seemed best for our project. Once the whole class voted the props that got chosen were 57, 62, 63, 64, and 66. After we knew what prop we were going to make a podcast on we began to start planning out everything and getting to work, below are what I thought were the most important and key parts of the project.
Work from the project
Here are a few pictures of worksheets that I did through out the project, I did way more that just three but these are the ones I felt where the most important.
Debate/Conversation prepTo get a better understanding for our prop in the early stages we would have debates which sounded more like conversations. To the left you can see the worksheet I did to get prepared for the conversation, on the far left are questions like what would prop 57 do if it passes and what questions I have about it and on the near left it is my arguments for and against 57 and rebuttals for the arguments. I think these worksheets helped with making the conversation run more smooth because we had information right in front of us so we had plenty of info to pick off of and share it with our group not only that but during the conversation and also when we were researching we learned a lot on our prop.

3 Podcast ChallengeThe 3 podcast challenge was another activity we did through out the project, what we did in this activity was listen to three podcast of our choice and what I enjoyed the most was that they could be about absoulutely anything. Dr. P did give us plenty of ones to choose from that he found, which included anything from podcast's on props to podcast's about surfing and other sports. The three that I chose were about surfing and one on prop 57 and to the right you can see the questions we had to answer as we were listening to the podcast and after, they included questions like how would you rate this podcast, what do you notice about the host and the interviewee, and more similar to that. I think that this activity helped alot on getting ideas for your own podcast and also to see the different things that they use and that happens in other podcast's.

Squad assessment |
Squad assessments are something we would do every week, basically we would have to grade ourselves and our group members weekly. I found this very useful to see our group members progress and to see your own becuase not only can you see what the whole group would accomplish during a week but also reflect and see what you did. Without this I think our group wouldn't of been orginized becuase when we did them it helped us notice what had to be done.

Props Presentations
Here is the presentation I mentioned in the project description, ours is on prop 62 and 66. Below is only a picture of the presentation but if you click on this link you can see it.
Script
For our podcast we had to create a script which you can see to the left, even though we called it a script and normally a script is spmething you follow word by word in our case we would change it as we talked. The reason why we would change it as we talked is becuase to make it sound more natural and less scripted. Some parts would stay though and be the same, but it was the little things that we would change as we spoke that would make it sound much better.

Exhibition
For exhibition we presented our podcast at the Onstage Playhouse down in down town Chula Vista, there is a picture to the left that shows how our exhibition looked like. When it came to exhibition I wasn't nervous at all, I felt confident because we had a good podcast and I knew my prop really well so I was ready to answer any questions. Once they played our podcast I was proud of my group because it sounded really good and it was surprising to hear what we had created. The questions that they ended up asking where more about our opinion and a few were to clarify a few facts, especially since 57 has lots of hidden facts. I thought that the place was set up really nice and was perfect for our project and overall exhibition and the whole project was great.
