Introduction / launch
For this project we had to make personal narratives about something important that has happened in our life, but it wasn't any narrative we had to use a lot of descriptive language and dialogue to try and make it the best one ever. This whole project started off with Dr. P giving us a task to write about how we would see ourselves in our future internships, so we made a narrative on that topic. After that we did more activities that helped out with out narrative writing skills and finally we started to brainstorm and write our narratives. You can see the whole process below.
Baseline writing piece
My baseline essay was the first narrative I did in this project and it ended up being the same topic as my final draft. That made the process to get to my final draft much easier since I only had one topic to concentrate on. Looking back at my baseline essay I would change a lot especially since I have much more knowledge on writing narratives. One of the biggest changes I would make is add more dialogue and descriptive language because when I went back to read it again I noticed that it lacked descriptive language and dialogue. You can see a copy of my baseline essay to the right.

Initial Story Ideas
I created this list of ideas based off of important things that have happened in my life. At the end I only got to choose one idea which ended up being Almost drowning in Cabo but I still feel like I could make good stories out of all these ideas. Looking back at this list I think that it's really solid but there are few more ideas I can add. I also think it would've been cool if we would've had the option to choose a few story ideas and create mini narratives to have more variety and it's easier to choose stories because narrowing it down to one option was a difficult task.

Stage Dialogue
For this section of the project we were given a scene and we had to create a dialogue based of the scene. Our scenario was that a student was late to school and when he was trying to come into class unnoticed he slipped. After they gave us the scenario all we had to do was add dialogue. I think this helped us with adding dialogue to our narratives.
Hero's Journey
The hero's journey is a graphic organizer that helped us organize the events that were happening in our story's. I think it was helpful because before I was introduced to it I noticed that my story felt out of order but as soon as I started using it my narrative started coming together and made more sense. You can see a scanned image to the right of my graphic organizer.

Final Shell Descriptions
You may be thinking why we described shells in a project where we made personal narratives. The reason why we did this was that we noticed many of our narratives lacked descriptive language and by describing shells maybe we could enhance the descriptive language of our articles. Before my article was very plain and you couldn't really create an image in your head if you read it but after the shell descriptions I started to include more similes and descriptions of how colors looked which made my article sound much better. To the right you can read my final shell description.

Final Draft
The process I went through to get to my final draft was first start off with a baseline essay/narrative which was about an important moment in your life. After that we did that we created a down draft and the editing process it went through was a few critiques from my students and teacher which helped out a lot and made my narrative much better. Once I had a solid down draft I had to put it through more critique which was reading it to other people and a checklist making sure our narratives the best they could be and were ready to put in the book. You can see my final draft below.
Golden Moment
The most memorable moment from exhibition was when we set up and when our classmates were presenting their narratives. I think we all did a really good job setting up the exhibition but we unfortunately didn't get many people to come to our exhibition. I also think it was the same situation for the people who presented because their narrative's were great but we didn't have an audience.
