Honors was a challenge I took on this year in humanities and looking back I am grateful that I did. Humanities honors consisted of a variety of readings about U.S. history that we would annotate and every other Tuesday all the honors students would come together and discuss the reading. These discussion days were not only helpful to share your ideas with others but you also got the chance to ask any questions about certain you may have been confused about. After we had annotated the article or book chapter and discussed it we then had to write a reflection. He had a few types of reflection we usually wrote the first one was choosing a quote from the reading and analyzing it, we also sometimes had an essential question we could answer and towards the end we began doing reflection that were formatted and graded like the SAT essays. That format followed through onto the second semester but at the end of the second semester we had an assignment to watch an Oscars nominated film or a live performance and write a reflection on it.
