Phase 5: Interviewing the artists
ProcessIn the preparation stages for the interviews we had to come up with a series of questions that would provide us enough information to allow us to start designing the tiny house for our artist. The categories that we had to cover would range from what preferences she would want for the bedroom, kitchen, work area, and other little extras she would like. Based off the information she gave us in the interview, we started to design and make many drafts of what her house could look like. After we all decided on one design for the house we started to build the card stock model, during the construction of our model we adjusted a few things in the design so that the house would function properly. Once we were done with that model we transferred on to foam board for our final model. Everything we did with this model had to be really precise and we had to make minimum mistakes. Finally we finished the final model which came up to be very clean and nice, I was very proud of my work and it came out exactly how I expected it to come out.

Reflection |
I think that the process of interviewing, taking notes on what the interviewee says, and putting those notes into a model or plan of a house is a really cool process because you see how everything comes together. It is a very long process and it may feel not worth it but it's definitely worth it when you see it come together , especially since an actual person is going to be living in the house you designed. This process thought me that amazing designs aren't always created from one night to another, sometimes it can take months and even years to design a house. That is why I am very proud of all of my team for creating a very nice and modern design.
